Celebrating Arthur's birthday by travelling to West Devon is probably something most families wouldn't do. Fortunately, our lad is already fully indoctrinated into the world of brass bands and willingly came along for a day out listening to, and conducting, bands in pub gardens. Bay themed their programme to music from film and theatre, complete with props and popcorn. At each venue Arthur conducted the finale 'Mama Mia' to great acclaim. The band then joined with all the other 'competitors' for massed items in Hatherleigh. I missed this as I was taking Arthur home.
